Celebration of National Legal Aid Day District Level:
Mr.Md. Shahidulla, Honorable District Judge & Chairman Jhalakati District Legal Aid Committee said-In most of the cases, the hardcore poor are usually being deprived of their constitutional right to legal support and that’s why the government has formulated ‘National Legal Aid Services Act in 2000’ to ensure legal assistance to the poor people. The success of the legal aid services depends on integrated approach of all concerned organizations including judges, lawyers, Political leaders, local governments, Law enforcement agency, Journalist’s, NGO workers, human rights workers and development partner organizations. In this regards we have to play our role with efficiency.
Celebration of National Legal Aid Day Upazila Level:
Md.Momiruzzaman, Upazila Chairman and Chairman, UZLAC, Rajapur Upazila, Jhalokathi said that- Through this meeting and rally our responsibility will not end, We have to continue the consciousness of this day round the year. Only then our purpose will be successful and the Prime Minister's dream will be come true. So we should play our respective responsibilities properly in this regards.
UZLAC Orientation:
Nusrat Jahan Khan, UNO & Member secretary UZLAC, Rajapur Upazila, Jhalokathi said that- This UZLAC committee has been formed with people from different profession and level of community so that people from all sector and level of community can know about this service of the government. Next 28 April’ 2022 will be observed the National Legal Aid Day. UZLAC Rajapur will also observe this day. In this regard, I request to all UZLAC member of Rajapur provide proper support to observe the day properly.
